What summer is really about
I'm pretty sure everyone starts summer with at least one grandiose plan or another, but that's summer for you-- it either goes by too slow or too fast, and you forget what you set out to do. You should be proud of the things you HAVE accomplished, the ideas you've gotten... and despite school sucking up your time (I'm certainly not going to argue against it, since what, this is your senior year, right?) I'm sure you'll find time to catch up on all the things you really WANT and NEED to do *cough* ISE *cough*.
The best jobs and the ones everyone thinks you're suited for are the ones that are always just out of your reach-- a neighborhood away with no car (me), full-time salary wanting someone with a BA or higher (you), or something else inbetween. As much as it sucks to say this, you do get a lot of experience working at those places that don't seem to further your education any. I mean movie theatres, juice bars, coffee shops... the like. Some of them end up having good benefits, too (Starbucks does, at any rate) or you might just meet some cool (inspirational) people.
So go for it! Sell yourself and your strengths, and it won't matter where you work, so long as you get the experience, get the money, and have fun while you're at it!
